4:34 AM (June 19): Today was father’s day. I had multiple moments of potential ruination that I neglected to bring to fruition. It was easier today than it has been. Less struggle.
For father’s day, Adora said that she wanted to get a blue dot tattoo to match mine. Mine was for alignment of the machine for radiation therapy during cancer treatments. She still surprises me on how thoughtful she can be.
Last year, for father’s day I worked at Wheeling Hospital until six pm. We had twenty evals. I decided not to get anything to eat as I was looking forward to a steak at Suzi’s brother’s. For whatever reason, the grill would not fire up when I finally got there. It was not out of gas and it had just been working. I remember actually laughing. Then I went home and got a little drunk.
This father’s day was better than last. It would be nice to make the qualitative advancement a tradition.
